Alzheimer's & Memory Care

As part of our commitment to continuous quality care, Kane offers specialized treatment to address the special physical and emotional needs for residents suffering from varying degrees of Alzheimer's, dementia and other behaviors resulting from neurological conditions or damage.

Within the Kane system, there are 180 safe, secure beds designated to Alzheimer’s disease and memory care. All four units are managed by a board-certified Geriatric Psychiatrist affiliated with Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC).

• Glen Hazel Community Living Center has three 45-bed units that provide specialized services for patients exhibiting neurological and psychiatric conditions. One of the units is dedicated to residents with memory care issues.
• Scott Community Living Center has 45 secure beds for residents with memory care issues.

There will be two more memory care units added; one at McKeesport Community Living Center and one at Ross Community Living Center.

These secure bed units are a reflection of Kane’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that those dealing with neurological challenges in this region receive the attention and professional care that they need and deserve.
