Susan Long, MBA, NHA, is the Administrator at the Kane Ross Community Living Center. She is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the 240-bed LTC facility located in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Susan manages all aspects of the center’s operations, ensuring the residents’ safety and comfort.
Susan started her career at Kane as a Certified Nursing Assistant assisting residents with activities of daily living. Susan aspired to further her career in the skilled nursing, long-term care field.She soon moved into the Recreational Therapy Department providing meaningful activities to residents to increase their quality of life. She worked as a Recreational Therapist and the Recreational Therapy Supervisor while training to become a Nursing Home Administrator.
Susan graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in History/Pre-Law and obtained an associate degree in Legal Studies from the Community College of Allegheny County in 2013. She completed her NHA training through the Penn State NHA program and an internship at Kane Community Living Center Glen Hazel in 2019. Recently, Susan graduated with her master's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hill University in August of 2021.
