Our Mission

Funding
The Jail is funded primarily by real estate tax dollars. The County derives revenue from per diem payments for housing of federal prisoners. In addition, since 1997, the Jail has charged nominal fees to inmates for certain voluntary non-essential services including non-emergency dental and medical services and copying services. The budget for the jail is included in the annual reports.
