2024 Public Works Annual Report The department completed rehabilitation work on the inbound Armstrong Tunnel in Pittsburgh, replaced the Braddock Avenue/Kenmawr Avenue ramp in Rankin, and moved into a new District 5 maintenance garage in South Park.
2023 Public Works Annual Report The department completed a $34.4 million rehabilitation project on the iconic Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge, which included the installation of an enhanced lighting system. It also began critical rehabilitation work on the Armstrong Tunnel.
2022 Public Works Annual Report The department completed 15 bridge projects, further reducing the county's number of poor-rated bridges. It also purchased a new excavator with a brush-cutting attachment, allowing for access to problematic vegetation.
2021 Public Works Annual Report The department oversaw the installation of 122 solar lights and 25 educational signs as well as construction of a 2.5-acre permeable parking lot in South Park. It also widened and added dedicated bicycle and pedestrian lanes on Pearce Mill Road in North Park.
2020 Public Works Annual Report The department completed a 21-month, $23.3 million rehabilitation of the iconic Rachel Carson (Ninth Street) Bridge. It also acquired a new paving machine, producing noticeable benefits for drivers.
2019 Public Works Annual Report The department completed preservation work on the David McCullough (Sixteenth Street), Fleming Park, and Homestead Grays Bridges. It also stabilized a slope along Coulterville Road, ensuring safe access to a community.
