Board of Elections Approves Plans for Upcoming November Election

PITTSBURGH –Today the Allegheny County Board of Elections approved plans for the upcoming November general election, including five satellite election offices and twelve ballot drop off locations. The Board also approved a resolution to support Election staff and volunteer organizations to register voters at naturalization ceremonies.  

Satellite Election Offices  

Five satellite election offices will be available to serve voters around the county between October 7 and October 25. At these locations, voters may register, apply for, receive, vote, and return their mail-in and absentee ballots.  

On Wednesday and Thursday, October 7 and 8, 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, a satellite office will be open at: 

  • Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall Auditorium, 4141 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh 15213 

On Saturdays and Sundays, October 17, 18, 24 and 25, 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, satellite offices will be open at:  

  • Community College of Allegheny County – Homewood, 701 N. Homewood Ave., Pittsburgh 15208 

  • North Park Ice Rink, 1200 Pearce Mill Rd., Wexford 15090 

  • South Park Ice Rink, 30 Corrigan Dr., Bethel Park 15102 

  • County Office Building, 542 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh 15219 

Any Allegheny County voter is eligible to vote at any satellite location. Voters in possession of their completed mail-in ballot may also return the ballot at a satellite location. Voters may only return their own ballot unless they have a completed designated agent form giving them permission to return a ballot on behalf of someone else.  

Ballot Return Sites  

In addition to the satellite offices listed above, voters may return ballots to the County Office Building, 542 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, 15219, during business hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm as soon as ballots are available. Ballot Return Sites will also be available at the following nine locations which will be open at these times and dates: 

11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 30, 2026, and Monday, November 2, 2026. 

9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 2026.

  • Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge, 901 Centerview Dr., Plum 15239 

  • Carnegie Public Library, 5801 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh 15217 

  • North Park Ice Rink, 1200 Pearce Mill Rd., Wexford 15090 

  • South Park Ice Rink, 30 Corrigan Dr., Bethel Park 15102 

  • Dormont Pool, 1801 Dormont Ave., Pittsburgh 15216 

  • CCAC Homewood, 701 N. Homewood Ave., Pittsburgh 15208 

  • Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, 1 N. Linden St., Duquesne 15110 

  • Avalon Public Library, 317 S. Home Ave., Pittsburgh 15202 

  • County Office Building, 542 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, 15219 

Voters may park briefly on Ross Street while returning ballots at the County Office Building. Voters may also return a voted mail-in ballot at the County Office Building on Election Day at the Ross Street entrance between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm.  

At today’s meeting, the Board of Elections also directed the elections staff to add an additional three ballot drop off locations, bringing the total up to a dozen locations. The elections division will present additional ballot return site locations as soon as possible to the Board of Elections and will release that information publicly as soon as it is available.
