Time to send those squash a-sailing at the 9^th annual Punkin Chunkin! Join the Allegheny County Parks Department and SHARP Robotics from the Sarah Heinz House on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm to watch as pumpkins are launched across the amphitheater field in Hartwood Acres Park by a full-size trebuchet.

Punkin Chunkin is free and open to all ages, with fun and games for the whole family, even furry friends! Bring pups in their best costumes to celebrate Howl-o-Ween Bark or Treat event from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Hartwood Acres dog park (next to the amphitheater) for treats, tricks, and tennis balls. Bark or Treat is $5.00/dog for Allegheny County residents, or $6.00/dog for non-residents.

Registration is recommended for Punkin Chunkin and Bark or Treat to ensure there are enough supplies for everyone.
