Through PA Project LAUNCH (Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children’s Health), this RFP solicited proposals for a program called Be Strong Parent Cafés. The Be Strong Parent Cafés Program is designed to provide a safe space for parents and caregivers to explore their strengths, examine their lives, and evaluate for themselves the areas that need to be strengthened. The primary target population for these proposed Parent Cafés is parents with children ages birth through eight. The RFP sought four providers to plan and host monthly Parent Café sessions where parents and caregivers will learn about a framework called the Strengthening Families Protective Factors, which are intended to increase family stability, enhance child development, and reduce child abuse and neglect.
