To ensure that schools in Allegheny County are complying with PA state and county immunization regulations, the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) requires all schools (public, private/independent, parochial/religious, charter, and cyber) to submit the immunization status of their students twice a year. Each year the PA Department of Health conducts a survey of a sample of child care centers in the state to estimate immunization coverage rates for children ages 2 months to 59 months who attend child care centers.
