New! Temporary and Seasonal Food Facilities and Events Online Services

New Addition to Air Pollution Control Regulations

The "Mon Valley Air Pollution Episode Rule" was added to Article XXI to reduce the air pollution at ground level in the Mon Valley during a weather inversion. When a weather inversion is predicted or happening, polluting sources in the area will put plans in place to limit emissions so they do not create or increase pollution levels above 100 on the Air Quality Index (a level unhealthy to sensitive groups). Air Quality Program Introduces "Regulated Entities Portal"

One of the top priorities of the Air Quality Program is to improve communications with permitted facilities. To that end, the ACHD Air Quality team worked with software developers to create a new Regulated Entities Portal (REP).

Program Name Change

As of October 1, 2021 the Maternal and Child Health Program has become the Office of Family and Child Health – this new title recognizes the need for the office's services to support all individuals who may impact the early development of infants and children.
