Office of Developmental Supports

The Office of Developmental Supports (ODS) helps individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and medically complex needs access services that promote independence, inclusion and quality of life.

Office of Developmental Supports Services

ODS connects individuals and families to services that support daily living and community participation, including:

  • Eligibility determination and intake
  • Coordination of home and community-based services
  • Coordination of life sharing program
  • Support planning and case management
  • Service provider coordination
  • Transition planning from school to adult services 

ODS serves eligible Allegheny County residents with:

  • Intellectual Disability (ID)
  • Autism
  • Developmental Disability (DD) prior to age 9
  • Medically Complex Condition (MCC) prior to age 22

ODS also serves families and caregivers supporting eligible individuals.

ODS Intake Process

Begin the intake and registration process online or by phone.

  • Online: Use the ODS intake and registration portal on any internet connected device. Create a secure account and complete the self-paced process at any time
  • Phone: Call 412-253-1250 to speak with an Intake Specialist who can answer questions and help guide the process
