Kathryn Collins, Interim Director
Office of Analytics and Technology
Kathryn Collins is the interim Director of the Office of Analytics and Technology. The Office of Analytics and Technology uses data and technology to inform how the Department of Human Services (DHS) identifies problems, designs solutions, and measures impact to improve outcomes for County residents. The Office of Analytics and Technology builds products, enables innovation, supports research, and promotes public transparency.
Collins joined DHS in 2018 as the Chief Analytics Officer, overseeing data and analysis to inform policy, practice and strategic initiatives across the department and throughout the county. In this role, she led initiatives to expand the collection and use of client experience data across the department, to modernize the county’s nationally recognized integrated data warehouse, and to scale the use of analytics to support business operations.
Collins holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from American University and a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Public Policy from the University of Pittsburgh.
