A Code Red Heat Advisory is issued when extreme heat poses a serious health risk, especially for older adults, children, and people with medical conditions.

When a Code Red Heat Advisory is in effect, dates will be announced.

Cooling Centers

For older adults without available transportation to a cooling center, call SeniorLine during business hours to get connected to help at 412-350-5460. Outside of business hours, call 2-1-1, or in an emergency, 9-1-1. 

When senior centers are acting as cooling centers, they welcome residents of any age.
