Where can I obtain EMT training?

In Allegheny County, there are two PA Department of Health approved training Institutes:

I am moving to Allegheny County and/or Pennsylvania. How can I transfer my current certification as an EMT or Paramedic to Pennsylvania?

My certification as an EMT is about to expire, where can I obtain CE classes?

There are a number of continuing education sponsors in Allegheny County and Southwestern PA. Feel free to contact any of the sponsors to obtain a list of current offerings or visit PA Dept. of Health Emergency Medical Services.

What organization represents EMS in Allegheny County?

Part of the mission of the Allegheny County EMS (ACEMS) Council is to bring together providers and consumers of emergency medical services to affect the provision of quality emergency medical services within the various municipalities of Allegheny County and to gather and disseminate information regarding emergency medical services to concerned residents of Allegheny County.
