Inspector Louis Blauth

Inspector Louis Blauth currently leads the Training Division of the Allegheny County Police Department and is serving as the Director of the Allegheny County Police Training Academy, overseeing the education and training of law enforcement throughout Allegheny County.

Inspector Blauth joined the Allegheny County Police Department in 2003 as a patrolman. In 2006, Inspector Blauth received his Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law and expanded his role within the department to include instructing the legal courses in the basic recruit classes, mandatory in-service statewide training courses, developing policy, curriculum and training opportunities for members of the Allegheny County Police Department. In 2011, he led the department’s accreditation efforts and continues to oversee the reaccreditation process.

Inspector Blauth is an Army Veteran with a bachelor’s degree in the Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh.
