Allegheny County Health Department Extends Public Comment Period for Proposed Amendment on Paid Parental Leave and Expanded Paid Sick Days

PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Health Department is extending the public comment period for the proposed amendment on Paid Parental Leave and Expanded Paid Sick Days to 11:59 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2026. 

The extension from 30 days to 60 days is a direct response to resident requests for more time to review the proposal and submit written comments for consideration. 

Public comments can be made by submitting written comments by email to publichealthcomment@allghenycounty.us
