Lane Closure on Thompson Run Road in Ross to Start on Monday

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that the southbound lane of Thompson Run Road in Ross will close at Thompson Run North Side Bridge No. 2 starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025. The bridge is located just north of Evergreen Road. The lane closure, which is expected to end in November, is required for repairs to an abutment.

Two-way traffic will be maintained at the lane closure using stop signs.

Pugliano Construction Company of Plum is the prime construction contractor, and the project will be done as part of a $1.5 million contract that includes work on three other bridges.

Thompson Run North Side Bridge No. 2 is used by an average of 16,520 vehicles daily. It has a condition rating of 4 (poor condition) on a 0-9 scale based on National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) established by the Federal Highway Administration.
