This RFP solicited providers for the administration of foster care services for children from birth up to the date of their 21st birthday. For the purposes of this RFP, foster care excluded Kinship Care and referred to a placement in which the caregiver is not related to and does not have a prior relationship with the child. The goal of issuing this RFP was for foster care agencies to improve the placement stability, well-being and safety of children and families in Allegheny County by building on the success of existing services, creating a shared framework with agency partners and collaboratively implementing new strategies.
We received 17 proposals. We invited 11 proposers to oral presentations.
