Eligible Applicants include Counties, Municipalities, Municipal Authorities, Economic Development Agencies, Redevelopment Authorities, Land Banks, COGS.

501(c)3 Applicants

Please note that non-profit, 501(c)3 applicants in both the City of Pittsburgh and/or Allegheny County MUST apply through the application portal before the application deadline to be considered for sponsorship by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.  We can no longer accept requests for sponsorship for applications not submitted through our portal. 

All other non 501(c)3 applicants will need to apply directly through the States Single App.

Eligible Uses of Funds include Acquisition, Construction, Demolition, Infrastructure, Purchase of vehicles, machinery and/or equipment, Planning, consulting, and design costs related to planning projects. Engineering, design, and inspection, to include permitting fees, for construction projects not to exceed 10% of the total grant award.

• Eligible Projects must be owned and maintained by an eligible applicant or a nonprofit organization.
• Projects in the Public Interest Projects that improve the quality of life in the community.

There is a $350 application fee that must be wired to the County before the application is submitted, $100 of that will be remitted to the CFA at the time the application is submitted to the State.

The sponsoring entity, either the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County (County projects) or the Urban Redevelopment Authority (City of Pittsburgh projects,) will add a 2% administrative fee into each application submitted to DCED, on top of the requested amount to cover staff time.
