Open Records and Right-to-Know (RTK) Requests

Open record requests via the PA Right to Know Law are coordinated by the Executive Branch Open Records Officer. A standard RTK Form can be obtained by going to the Open Records page of the Allegheny County website.

All RTK requests must be done online through the Open Records site linked above.

On April 29, 2019, the National Environmental Law Center, on behalf of its clients, the Clean Air Council and PennEnvironment, filed a lawsuit against U.S. Steel seeking remedies for the air quality violations related to the December 24, 2018 fire at the Clairton Coke Works facility. Taking Part in Board of Health Activities

The Allegheny County Board of Health meets every other month. See the Board of Health Meeting Schedule; the Department welcomes public participation at these meetings.

All meetings are open to the public. Requests to speak at the meeting must be made 24 hours in advance of the meeting via email or by phone at: 412-687-ACHD (2243).

The Board of Health regularly amends and develops new rules to protect public health in our community. Draft rules will be published online for comment and Department staff welcomes your input. Please direct any questions about Board of Health policy development to Public Health Comment or by calling 412-687-ACHD.
