Unsolved Homicides

The Allegheny County Police Department continues to seek information in connection with our unsolved homicide cases, and we remain determined to provide answers to those impacted by violent crimes. Since June of 2024, Allegheny County Police have featured an unsolved homicide case each month on our social media pages. All previously featured cases are listed below, and a new case will be added each month.

Latest Post

On December 31, 2022, at 12:17 am, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting at 446 Hochberg Road in Penn Hills. First responders found the victim, later identified as 39-year-old Kenneth Dorsey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Kenneth was taken to an area hospital where he died a few hours later.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case. Detectives learned Kenneth was visiting the home when an unknown individual fired multiple shots from the back of the residence into the home, striking Kenneth multiple times. Currently, detectives have not been able to identify any suspects, and we continue to ask for the community’s help in solving this case.

Bryant Boyd (6/13/24)

Bryant Boyd was shot and killed in McKeesport on June 13, 2024. Bryant was leaving Cal’s Cantina on Eden Park Boulevard when two individuals exited a vehicle, ran towards Bryant, and opened fire.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case, and we are releasing additional information and surveillance video in the hopes of identifying those involved. At this time, detectives do not believe Bryant was the intended target of the shooting. 

Brandon Dean (5/2/24)

On May 2, 2024, at 10:25 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting in the 2900 block of Palmgreen Street in McKeesport. First responders found the victim, later identified as 39-year-old Brandon Dean, suffering from multiple gunshots wounds inside a vehicle. Brandon died at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case. Detectives have learned Brandon was operating as part of a ride share service and picked up four individuals from an abandoned home in the 2900 block of Palmgreen Street. He was shot moments later near the intersection of Palmgreen and Douglas Street. At this time, detectives have not been able to identify the four individuals who entered Dean’s vehicle and continue to ask for the community’s help in solving this case.

Ryan Main (12/25/23)

Ryan Main was shot and killed in Clairton on December 25, 2023. Detectives believe the shooting occurred just prior to 11:00 pm along Wood Alley. Ryan’s body was discovered hours later at the intersection of Wylie Avenue and Reed Street.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case and is looking to identify multiple men in connection with the investigation. Detectives are working to identify two men in connection with the investigation. Nearby surveillance video shows the men arriving in the area and then walking towards Wood Alley in the moments prior to when detectives believe the shooting occurred. The men were later seen running from the area.

Darryl Nelson (11/27/23)

On November 27, 2023, at 7:19 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting in an apartment at 900 Hill Avenue in Wilkinsburg. First responders found 35-year-old Darryl Nelson shot inside the residence. Darryl was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was requested, and detectives continue to investigate this case. Through their investigation, detectives determined Nelson was visiting a friend’s apartment at the time of the shooting and we believe there were multiple people inside when the shooting happened.  

Dillan Shearer (11/14/23)

On November 14, 2023, at 11:27 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting at 319 Patton Street in Wilmerding. First responders found 15-year-old Dillan Shearer suffering from a gunshot wound to the head inside the residence. Dillan was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was requested, and detectives continue to investigate this case. Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives have learned two individuals were inside with Dillan at the time of the shooting. Detectives also believe there may be video of the incident, and we are asking for the community’s help.

Isaac Love (8/18/23)

Isaac Love was shot and killed inside his vehicle in Homestead on August 18, 2023. The shooting happened just before 8:30 a.m. along Walnut Way, an alley that intersects with the 1800 block of McClure Street. Isaac was in his vehicle when two men approached and began firing into vehicle. More than two dozen shell casings were recovered at the scene. Isaac was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later. 

Ronnell Robinson (7/15/23)

On July 15, 2023, 29-year-old Ronnell Robinson was one of four people shot outside J’s Juke Joint at 1129 Ravine Street in Munhall. The shooting happened a little before 2 a.m. Surveillance video from the bar captured the incident. Ronnell was with two friends outside the bar in the minutes leading up to the shooting. Surveillance video shows a black SUV approach, multiple individuals open fire, and Ronnell was hit multiple times and killed. That suspect vehicle was found a few days later but was burned and destroyed. 

Malik Sanders (5/5/23)

Malik Sanders was shot and killed inside his apartment building on Library Street in Braddock on May 5, 2023. The shooting happened at 445 Library Street just before noon. Sanders was found at the bottom of the steps outside the front door of his apartment on the ground floor.

It was later discovered Sanders’ vehicle was also damaged in the parking lot of the building.

Dominic Sanner (5/5/23)

On May 5, 2023, at approximately 11:30 pm, Homestead Police were dispatched to 134 East 17th Avenue in Homestead for reports of an individual found shot in between two homes. The victim, later identified as 16-year-old Dominic Sanner, was discovered to have a single gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was requested, and detectives continue to investigate this case. Detectives believe Dominic was outside in the yard at a friend’s home when the shooting occurred. 

Robert Moore (3/23/23)

On March 3, 2023, at 5:47 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting in the 1200 block of Park Street in McKeesport. Responding officers found the victim, 58-year-old Robert Moore, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where we was pronounced deceased.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case. Detectives learned Robert was returning to his home and was shot by an unknown male as he was getting out of his vehicle. Based on witness statements, detectives believe the shooter was wearing a mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white shoes. Detectives learned the suspect was seen standing at the corner of West Park Way and Luray Avenue prior to the shooting, and fleeing from the scene after the shooting occurred. 

Reuben Kelley (3/13/23)

On March 13, 2023, at approximately 7:24 am, Clairton Police were dispatched to 415 Miller Avenue for reports of an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as 30-year-old Reuben Kelley, was shot multiple times and found deceased inside his home.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was requested, and detectives continue to investigate this case. Detectives believe Reuben was shot late in the evening on March 12 while inside his home with multiple children. 

Julius Robinson (3/13/23)

On March 13, 2023, at 3:11 am, Penn Hills Police were called to Penn Towers Apartments at 11979 Frankstown Road for a reported shooting. Responding officers discovered 42-year-old Julius Robinson in the parking lot of the apartment building suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was requested, and detectives continue to investigate this case. Through their investigation, detectives determined Julius was shot in the rear parking lot of the apartment building. He was found lying next to his truck, and the driver’s side door was open when police arrived. Julius was last seen leaving Visionz bar in the 4300 block of Verona Road prior to the shooting, and a dark-colored SUV was seen following Julius’ vehicle as he left the bar and traveled towards Penn Towers Apartments. 

Antony Sayles (2/17/23)

On February 17, 2023, at 5:16 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting in the 2000 block of Jenny Lind Street in McKeesport. First responders found the victim, later identified as 59-year-old Antony Sayles, deceased at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case. Detectives have learned Antony was inside a relative’s home when an unknown male entered the residence and shot Antony multiple times. The unknown male was seen walking away from the residence after the shooting, however no description of the male is available at this time. 

Aceyn Ausbrook (1/14/23)

On January 14, 2023, at 11:28 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a shooting in the 600 block of Bellwood Avenue in Monroeville. First responders found the victim, later identified as 19-year-old Aceyn Ausbrook, suffering from multiple gunshots wounds. Aceyn was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate this case. Detectives have learned Aceyn was leaving a party with multiple friends. As the group was getting into a vehicle, two individuals approached the vehicle and opened fire. Detectives are working to identify those individuals and continue to ask anyone who witnessed the shooting to come forward.
