COURTESY RELEASE: Armstrong Tunnel, Philip Murray Bridge to Close

The Department of Public Works announced today that it has granted a permit to P3R to close the inbound Armstrong Tunnel and the Philip Murray (South Tenth Street) Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk. The closure will occur from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Spring Garden Road in Reserve Reopens to Traffic

The Department of Public Works announced today that Spring Garden Road between Beech Street and Williams Road in Reserve has reopened to traffic. The closure, which began on August 12, 2024, was required to install four new inlets, drainage pipe, and concrete curb; repairs to an existing inlet; paving; and replacement of pavement markings.

Glenwood Bridge to Close Southbound Oct. 13-18, Northbound Oct. 20-25

The Department of Public Works announced today that the Glenwood Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh will be closed to southbound/outbound traffic from 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 through 6 p.m. on Friday, October 18. The bridge will then be closed to northbound/inbound traffic from 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 20 through 6 p.m. on Friday, October 25.

Executive Innamorato Celebrates New Public Works Facilities

REMINDER: Part of Spring Garden Road in Reserve to Close on Monday

The Department of Public Works announced that Spring Garden Road between Beech Street and Williams Road in Reserve will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024. To accommodate the closure, Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) announced that its 7-Spring Garden bus route will be detoured, and 23 stops on the route will be temporarily discontinued.
