Movies in the Parks: Raiders of the Lost Ark at South Park

Bring chairs or blankets to enjoy family-friendly movies in the Allegheny County Parks! Events begin at 7:00 pm, and movies are scheduled to begin at dusk, between 8:50 pm - 9:15 pm. Closed captioning is available upon request. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, drinks, and snacks.

Summer Movies in the Parks are free for all and weather-permitting. In the event of cancellation, updates will be posted to Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).

 

 

Raiders of the Lost Ark

The year is 1936. An archeology professor named Indiana Jones is venturing in the jungles of South America searching for a golden statue. Unfortunately, he sets off a deadly trap but miraculously escapes. Then, Jones hears from a museum curator named Marcus Brody about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which can hold the key to human existence. Jones has to venture to vast places such as Nepal and Egypt to find this artifact. However, he will have to fight his enemies, Rene Belloq and a band of Nazis, in order to reach it.
