Compliance Status Report

In 1990, as part of an enforcement order, U.S. Steel Clairton was required to begin providing monthly reports related to its coking and desulfurization process to the Allegheny County Health Department. This facility is the only remaining permit holder operating a coke oven in the county.

As part of its expanded focus on enforcement opportunities and transparency, the reports from the January 1, 2020 time period through the most recent report are posted below. Please note that each month's report covers the prior month's events.
