Medical Supplies

Acceptable Items
Incarcerated individuals can receive a limited amount and type of medical supplies. Items must be pre-approved by calling 412-350-2277. Medical supplies should be brought to the jail lobby and all items will be searched by the correctional officer before they are delivered to an incarcerated individual.
If you need to provide medical information, call 412-350-2200 and leave a message. You will not receive a return response. Pre-authorization must be provided prior to bringing the medical item in. Approvals can be requested by calling 412-350-2277.
Items that Can Be Delivered
- Prescription/Reading Glasses
- Contacts - Contact lenses must come in original packaging. Contact lens cases must be empty and dry. Anything that has the appearance of tampering will not be accepted.
- Dentures
- Hearing Aids
Note: Anything else, other than these specific items, is prohibited from entering the building.
Items that Will Not Be Delivered
Specifically, the following will not be accepted:
- Eyeglass cases (fabric, leather, or hardened cases)
- Contact cases with saline solution and contacts
- No saline solution or any other liquids will be accepted.
- Invisalign braces
- Any other item not on the list above.
