COURTESY RELEASE: David McCullough Bridge to Close for Film Shoot

The Department of Public Works announced today that it has granted a permit to a Rare Leo Productions to close the David McCullough (16th Street) Bridge in Pittsburgh during parts of June 28 and 29 as well as July 3, 4, 7, and 8 for a film shoot.

Code Red Heat Advisory Extended Through Friday, June 27

Due to continued extreme temperatures and forecasts showing little to no cooling overnight, Allegheny County is extending its Code Red Heat Advisory through Friday, June 27. The advisory was initially activated for Sunday, June 22, and remains in effect in response to dangerous heat levels that pose serious health risks, particularly for vulnerable residents.

County Executive Joins Glassport Community to Unveil New Public Art

This weekend County Executive Sara Innamorato celebrated the ribbon cutting for the new Glassport Gateway signage. The vibrant glass mosaic brought to life by talented Pittsburgh artists Sarah Cohen and Gwen Sadler, an alumna of Alloy Pittsburgh and a regular contributor to Rivers of Steel’s Metal Arts program. This piece was inspired by a design from Glassport artist Christopher Galiyas.
