COURTESY RELEASE: Roberto Clemente Bridge to Close Tomorrow

The Department of Public Works announced today that it has granted a permit to the Clemente Museum to close the Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge in Pittsburgh to vehicular traffic from 11 am to 9 pm on Friday, September 11, 2026 for Clemente Bridge Fest. Pedestrians will be able to use the bridge’s sidewalks.

Innamorato Names Alex Jutca Director of Department of Human Services

County Executive Sara Innamorato today announced that Alex Jutca will be the next Director of the Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS). Mr. Jutca has served as Interim Director of DHS since Erin Dalton departed to serve as New York City’s Commissioner of the Department of Social Services.

Allegheny County Unveils Groundbreaking Allegheny Recovery Plan

Allegheny County residents struggling with drug and alcohol use will soon have access to new support to live safer, fuller lives through a groundbreaking new initiative, the Allegheny Recovery Partnership Plan, which was introduced today by the county’s Department of Human Services.

Traveling Glass Recycling

September 11, 2026

Glass bottles and jars are 100% recyclable and can be recycled for reuse endlessly without losing any quality! The traveling glass bin will be at each location for nearly a month, available daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. All colors of glass are accepted; containers must be empty; caps, lids, and labels are okay.
