Board of Elections Approves Plans for November General Election

Today the Allegheny County Board of Elections approved plans presented by Elections Division staff for ballot return sites and satellite offices in advance of November’s general election. County Executive Sara Innamorato, Councilmember Bethany Hallam, and Board of Elections Member Cindy Kirk voted unanimously for the ballot return sites and satellite offices.

COURTESY RELEASE: Roberto Clemente Bridge to Close During Saturday

The Department of Public Works announced today that it has granted a permit to the Clemente Museum to close the Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge in Pittsburgh to vehicular traffic from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 for an event. Pedestrians will still be able to use the bridge’s sidewalks.

Allegheny County Health Department Confirms Additional West Nile Virus

The Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) has confirmed that additional mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). A second human case of WNV has also been reported from Pittsburgh’s North Side.
