Part of Baileys Run Road in East Deer to Close Starting on April 6

The Department of Public Works announced today that part of the 500 block of Baileys Run Road in East Deer will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026. The closure, which is expected to end in June, is required for construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements, roadway repairs, and the installation of pavement markings.

Lane Closures on Browns Hill Road in Pittsburgh to Start on April 6

The Department of Public Works announced today that lane closures on Browns Hill Road between Beechwood Boulevard/Hazelwood Avenue and the Homestead Grays Bridge in Pittsburgh will start at on Monday, April 6, 2026. The lane closures, which are expected to end in May, are required for roadway joint repairs and the installation of pavement markings.

Innamorato Signs Executive Order to Improve Restaurant Permit Process

Today County Executive Sara Innamorato signed a new Executive Order, directing Allegheny County staff to assess and improve the permit process for businesses applying for a food permit. This will be a multi-departmental effort, led by the County Manager’s Office, with the goal of maintaining public health and safety while streamlining the wait times for businesses.

Marbles Program Tournaments

Allegheny County hosts a free annual marble competition series for youth ages 7-14. Previous knowledge and experience is not required. Instructors are onsite to teach how to play and oversee the tournaments.
