REMINDER: Public Meeting for Talbot Ave Ramp Project to Occur Tomorrow

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) invite the public to attend a meeting to learn and provide input about an upcoming Talbot Avenue ramp replacement project in Rankin. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. tomorrow, January 28, 2026 at 419 Library Street, Braddock, PA 15104.

Allegheny County Offices and Courts Closed Tuesday, January 27

County offices and courts will be closed due to severe weather conditions on Tuesday, January 27. That includes non-essential functions like parks, facilities, and administrative offices. Where possible, county employees are encouraged to work remotely. Essential services are still functioning.

County Executive Innamorato Declares Disaster Emergency for Allegheny

County Executive Sara Innamorato has declared a countywide disaster emergency following the significant winter storm that impacted Allegheny County from Saturday, January 24 through Monday, January 26. Total snowfall accumulations were between 10 to 14 inches, with localized higher amounts.

SnowFest 2026

January 31, 2026

Join the fun at the annual SnowFest! Compete in the Mini-Junior Olympics for skiing and snowboarding, or put your engineering skills to the test in the Cardboard Box Snow Tubing Derby. Prizes will be given to the top three participants in each category, and the whole family can enjoy live music and hot cocoa at the Lodge.

Community Counts Volunteer Night

Every January, community volunteers across the country participate in the annual effort to estimate the number of people experiencing homelessness on a single night. This year's count will now take place Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am.
