Renew an Existing Permit

Food permits are not transferable by address, owner or change of classification. Ensure you only pay for a food permit issued to your legal entity.  Any change of address, owner or classification shall require a new food permit. If you are a new owner of a food facility, or plan to purchase a new food facility, please visit the Permits and Registration page.

Payments can be made online, by mail, or over the phone.

To renew an existing permit online, please visit the Allegheny County bill pay website.  You will need your Client ID number.  This number can be found on your bill, on the first page of your inspection reports in the upper left corner, or on the upper right corner of your food permit.

To renew an existing permit by mail, send a check or money order made payable to “Treasurer of Allegheny County” to:
