Advisory Body Meeting Times and Locations

Advisory bodies are associated with each service area of DHS. Five of these advisory bodies are mandated by state and federal regulations and the Sunshine Act to oversee the provision of services and assist in policy planning. These meetings are identified in the listings below. If you are interested in serving on any of these mandated bodies, please apply here. The other bodies are convened by DHS to support planning and provision of quality services. If you are interested in learning more about these non-mandated bodies, email us at DHSAdvisoryBodies@alleghenycounty.us.

Meetings held in the Human Services Building after normal work hours are accessible through the door adjacent to the parking lot in the rear of the building. To enter, use the intercom to the left of the door to alert the guard.

As of January 1, 2024 , all meetings will be held in hybrid form - In-person at the Area Agency on Aging offices and virtually via TEAMS meeting.

Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council meeting agenda will be posted on this website at least 24 hours prior to the date of the meeting, on-site at the Area Agency on Aging or are available prior to the scheduled meeting on request by calling 412-350-6931. A copy of the agenda will also be available electronically to attendees the date of the meeting. Both dates and agenda are subject to modification in compliance with the Sunshine Act from Act 65 of 2021:
