Abandoned Oil & Gas Wells and Coal Mines – Discussion of identification and plugging of abandoned oil and gas wells in Allegheny County. This informational session stems from the Bi-Partisan Federal Infrastructure Law which allows states to use grant funding for plugging wells, remediating, and reclaiming lands impacted by oil and gas development activities and removing infrastructure hazards associated with the wells.

Deer Management – General information regarding white-tailed deer and potential solutions to problems associated with over-populations in local communities.

Independent Police Review Board (IPRB) - In 2021, Allegheny County Council established an Independent Police Review Board to receive and review allegations of misconduct filed by members of the public against police officers within Allegheny County.

Paid Sick Leave – The PA Local Health Administration Law provisions sick time for employees to help prevent and control the transmission of illnesses and disease. The rules were ratified by County Council, signed into law, and implemented by the Allegheny County Health Department in 2021.
