
For 18 years, the Celebration of Lights at Hartwood has been spreading the Holiday spirit to all ages. Proceeds benefit local charities. The display is open every evening through January 3, even on holidays!

Abby Trojanowski, an 8th grader at St. Maurice School in Forest Hills took 2nd Place (above) in the 2009 Health Dept. contest. The 2010 theme is "Green Buying Power." The contest is open to 6-8th graders and the deadline is February 12, 2010.

The Pennsylvania American Legion "Housing for Homeless Veterans" annual fundraising dinner will be on January 9, 2010. The deadline for getting an ad in the program is December 26. Tickets for the event can be purchased up until the day before.
